New watchdog on California stem-cell measure
Even if you don’t agree with everything he says, David Jensen’s blog California Stem Cell Report is a good thing if it keeps the pressure up on this publicly funded $3 billion bureaucracy. The more scrutiny and transparency, the better. (Thanks Jeff, for link)

San Jose’s proposal, made public late Wednesday, offers free space for 10 years in two buildings, $500,000 worth of tenant improvements, concierge service and free furniture.
One of the buildings is at 1731 Technology Drive, near Mineta San Jose International Airport, which the proposal says includes an on-site exercise facility and “lush outdoor plazas” with fountains. The city’s proposal also offered a site at 50 W. San Fernando St., a high-rise that also houses Knight Ridder, parent company of the Mercury News.
San Francisco has even offered a building near the Giants’ baseball stadium — hey, save the Balco jokes!
