If Google and Stanford are doing 3D maps, why not Berkeley?
We reported a while back about Google’s plans to develop 3D maps of San Francisco with trucks equipped with lasers and digital photographic, and related Stanford research — unearthed by SEW. Now Slashdot points us to UC Berkeley’s unrelated research project to do 3D maps of Berkeley.
