Simple Star, and haven't we heard this before?

Believe it or not, start-ups focused on helping you manage, edit and share your photos/videos are still raising venture capital.

There has got to be a dozen of these. The latest to grab our attention is Simple Star, of San Francisco, which has been around since 2001, and which two days ago named Dennis Mudd, of Musicmatch fame, to its board.

We’ve also just noticed that Simple Star raised $6.3 million in a third round from Venrock Associates a few months ago.
