Yahoo buys Webjay

Yahoo has acquired a one-man Web company called Webjay. Webjay lets people assemble links to online music and publish them on the Web. When people click on the playlists, Webjay threads the songs into an online music show. After this man-quisition, founder Lucas Gonze will be absorbed into Yahoo’s California operations.

I hope Y! first removes the Goog ads from Webjay once the man-quistion is completed. :)

A “one man” acquisition by Yahoo is actually newsworthy? What M&A group would care to let that one get out? Do they announce donut day too? They’d be laughed off the planet!

I know deal size has been shrinking along with company size, but really!

So, for the good job Yahoo M&A did today - Ha ha ha ha. Tune in for next weeks acquisition as Yahoo deals in a part-time webmaster from Poughkeepsie. (Really, he’s got a great story…trust me).

I’m just wondering how much money they paid for the one-man company?
