To say that the Tech Crunch post is scathing is a stretch. It certainly had some frank opinions but Mike will be the first one to tell you that we’ve both handled the dialogue professionally. He’s acknowledged the inaccuracies of his post on Diego Doval’s blog here (http://www.dynamicobjects.com/d2r/archives/003321.html#comments) and we’re all moving forward.

It is also an exaggeration to say we’ve been scrambling into damage control mode and just plain wrong to say that we’ve released features earlier than we wanted to because of Tech Crunch.

In reality, we added a number of new features in December we were waiting to publicize as part of our upcoming redesign in a few weeks.

All we did this weekend was tell our broader user community about what was already out there. While we sent it a bit earlier than originally planned, I don’t think of that as scrambling – that’s integrating feedback from our users which is hopefully a sign of a good service.

Lastly, calling Workday “Andreessen’s other company” is a bit farfetched. Dave Duffield is ably running that company. Marc sits on an advisory board that has yet to meet.

Hey Matt,

Here’s the probable, obvious reason for the NV address. There’s no mystery or weirdness about it. Incline Village, NV allows someone to live on Lake Tahoe, as close to SF Bay area outside CA as possible, while, most importantly, avoiding CA state taxes. If you’re a multi-millionaire, setting up residence on the NV side of Tahoe is a damn good idea. If you have a private plane, getting back and forth to SF-Bay is trivially easy (although Reno-SFO or SJC isn’t the worst commute ever).
