Though we share a VC and an initial "k", Kayak is not a competitor to Kosmix any more than Orbitz is a competitor to Google. We're really complimentary travel services. On Kosmix, you can find information about your trip to Boston; on Kayak, you can find out how expensive it is to fly to Boston. Like Google, Kosmix crawls the Web and runs searches over that static Web data. Kayak, on the other hand, is a dynamic search engine that looks for fares only on sites with which it partners. If I get motivated tonight, I might clarify a bit more in my blog =)

The Business 2.0 list is clearly named incorrectly. Every person on their list is highly influential. How can anyone say that Steve Ballmer, Johnathan Schwartz or Linus Torvalds don't matter. Last time I checked they managed the 3 most widely used operating systems on earth. Titles of "Top 10 Fallen Stars" or "CEOs on the Hot Seat" would have been much more appropriate.
