Tom Cole, VC with Trinity, starts yummy blog

Tom Cole, a venure capitalist with Trinity Ventures has launched a blog about food, cool places to eat around Silicon Valley and is dropping names while he does it. It is called Consuming Ambitions.

We commend him for the different approach. We met Tom during the depths of the post-Internet bubble depression, noticed he was young, and worried he might not hang on (lots of younger partners were getting axed). But he is an easy-going guy and he has pulled through, and appears to be having fun. He’s got quite a roster of dining pals, from early Google advisor Rajeev Motwani, who he meets at Palo Alto Indian restaurant Junnoon, and prolific Web 2.0 investor Josh Kopelman, where he picks up marketing lessons from the lowly fortune cookie.

Tom has invested in wiki company Wetpaint and leading photo-sharing company Photobucket, among others.
