Pinger, the voice message service, is up

pinger2.gif

Two days ago, we wrote about a new mobile voice message service called Pinger, which we think is useful for busy people because it recognizes names in your address book, calls them up the numbers instantly, and lets you leave a voice message with people without them having to pick up.

Unfortunately, the San Jose-based company’s service was not ready when we wrote our story, a fact that several of readers let us know. We felt bad because we scooped the story, and sent thousands of people (we also wrote about it in print and online at the Merc) to the service when it was still down. So just a note to say it is up.
