3M buys electronic manufacturing Co., Credence

3M, the maker of products from Post-it Notes to electronic road signs, has acquired Soquel’s Credence for an undisclosed sum.
Credence, which has about 12 employees, provides “instruments and monitoring equipment for electrostatic discharge control and electromagnetic emissions during design and manufacturing of comptuer chips, disk drives and flat-panel displays.”
3M is based in St. Maul, Minn.
