Wireless chipset maker Spreadtrum raises $10M

Spreadtrum Communications Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based maker of wireless chipsets, has secured $10 million of a $20 million Series D round, according to a regulatory filing cited by PE Week wire. No lead investor was named. Return backers for the company, which has offices in China, include Fortune Venture Group and New Enterprise Associates.
