Well, as the masses move toward green consciousness, it makes sense that corporations are seeing their own sort of "green" in being eco-friendly. It really is a win win. It will be nice when we can drive vehicles that are good for our environment in the short and long terms.

Looking at new technology with a new angle, things are possible that you never thought would be. Gasoline out of wood? Jet fuel out of cellulose? Diesel out of sugercane?

We will change your world - no pain added - to a greener place.

The Prius can be thought of as a coal-car, at least until the US electricity grid shifts towards a better mix of other sources. Sure, the Prius burns less gasoline than an SUV. Nothing revolutionary in that, however.

Vinod Khosla has made a number of wild and unsupportable claims, although I support him anyway. Essentially, he understands the longer-life trajectory of new energy sources, and this is likely why he's begun to back off some of his earlier assertions about corn ethanol. Still, I don't think he truly helps himself by engaging in false dillemma arguments, or straw man stuff--like he has done with the oil companies. Khosla's hopes for biofuels will imprive however as we move out the spectrum, to higher energy-plants, and refining processes. The mother-load however await in the clean coal area.

It doesn't matter what color of light the fluorescent bulbs produce, they still can't produce the full spectrum of visible light.

Dude,
Fox Rent A Car has hybrids (civic, prius and n suv) for $25 daily rental and on some weekdays like $13.

The website is www.foxrentacar.com.

But going public transport is the greenest way and until that happens, America will be chasing the utopia called 'bio fuels', 'battery power powered from polluting coal plants', 'ethanol', etc.
