SeaTab Software, a Seattle maker of a “business intelligence” product that lets companies measure their performance, has raised $3.5 million in more funding.
The company’s software, which businesses pay for as they use it (referrred to as “on demand”), lets businesses view data on operations like general ledger, inventory, customer support, point-of-sale and human resources.
Venture firm Trident Capital led the financing round. Other unnamed investors participated, the company said.

The On Demand model has already been applied to nearly every type of transactional application (CRM, ERP, HR, Order Management, etc.) The next logical step is to enable all that transactional information to be analyzed by On Demand Business Intelligence solutions. As the CEO of LucidEra (a company providing a complete Business Intelligence On Demand solution), we are seeing a huge surge in customer interest. We look forward to seeing SeaTab in this market. A little healthy competition will help the market grow and will benefit customers.
