I've been underwhelmed by search "refinement" options, like those used by Kosmix & Google. The new symptom search from healthline seems promising, but the results I got from a few tests were just OK.

Searching for the symptom "chest pain" shows "chest pain" as the #1 result. I would have expected "heart attack", the most critical possibility, to be the #1 result. Looks like it needs some refining, but still a neat tool.

(shameless plug) - I have a health search engine with some features that I think are pretty neat. We offer 4 separate search engines: alternative health, only forums/boards, pet health, and the general engine . They all search large indexes of hand-picked sites using Google co-op technology:

www.healthfind.com - feedback is welcome.
