In remembrance: Todd Brooks

toodbrooks.bmpTodd Brooks, a former venture capitalist with the Mayfield Fund, in Silicon Valley, who had been trying to raise his own fund until recently, has passed away. We never met Todd, but we’re told he was a good man, and great friend to many in the community.

Dan Primack, who spoke to Todd on several occasions, has more details here, and points to an online forum for friends and colleagues.

As Dan writes, those close to him say Todd has long suffered from depression, and struggled with this pain throughout the years. Todd ended his fight with depression by leaping from the Golden Gate Bridge late Thursday night.
