San Francisco-based BetZip has completed an additional funding round from venture capitalists and angel investors, reports theAlarmClock.
The company offes multi-user games, and has started with the online poker. It says it is legal because it makes it impossible to lose money — winners get prizes. It makes money by charging a $20 per month subscription.
From AlarmClock:
The company’s CEO is Jason Kellerman, who was CEO of LookSmart until January 2004. CTO Kevin Flood was GM at Harrah’s and VP Engineering at Wagerworks. Angel investors include Gil Penchina, CEO of Wikia.

Hello. This is a note for Jason Kellerman: Looks like an interesting site. I forwarded it to someone who I know likes casino games. Hey, by the way, is there any way that you could help me end this little tech problem (next time that you’re in NYC) that I’ve had persistently? Thanks…Berta (My brother used to own a store that he has since sold, and now he’s managing a dept. at Walmart in St.Louis, so that he doesn’t use any savings. Today, when I walked into the Walmart in NYC for a second, it actually sounded like someone knew and then faintly put his voice on the overhead speaker…(?) I guess they could maybe call him, or it could be by cell phone… I didn’t tell anyone… but there’s more, and I’m not sure which things interfere, while that seemed harmless. (b.mo_1@lycos.com)

This is for Jason Kellerman. I don’t understand this problem, or what this might entail: (My first recollection of this phenomenon was in October 2006)
i’ve cut and pasted this from another email, so i hope thatit makes sense. i think that there are people at nbc who are possibly misusing something that’s used for 9/11 security in order to almost cyber-stalk people. i’m afraid that it is jeopardizing the national security efforts put into place since the world trade center bombing.
is there a penalty for doing this in nyc?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberstalking
this is from another note i wrote:
it looks to me that this website: http://www.lornemichaels.com, (or this office…) is sort of like the concept of an attractive nuisance, where unknowing people are attracted to lorne’s office, or shows…and in the end, the harassment/slander-type idea that i began thinking
about in st.louis, married to the long list of problems inherent in nbc’s operations, lorne’s office, and the entertainment industry.it looks like any well meaning idea, hits lorne’s office and is directed towards a criminal cyber stalker, which now allows this person to use technology to do physical harm to me, or to attempt to do physical harm to me.
i think that several people know who this person is (barbara schiele sigali, other people from my high school, ladue, lorne? alec baldwin?)and might have a one degree of separation from him, but the problem is that i can’t describe this to someone very easily, and i don’t know
what it is he’s using. the guy who is a cyber stalker is able to read/get information from lorne michael’s website, and use it to continue, among other things.at the moment, i live with someone who has high blood pressure, and while i felt that what this male is doing, and it is completely obvious that there is someone doing this, is that he’s trying to tighten the muscles around my chest and he’s some how able to increase my heart beat, which for me is probably not damaging, but for someone
who has a problem, it is something that would cause a change is heart rate, or an increase.also, this person (or persons) is able to use something technological to follow me into apt buildings (washington heights) where i sometimes work with students. i’ve noticed that a student asked me “what was that?” while i was working with him, and seemed to be struggling to concentrate, while i knew that this person was using something to try to physically harm me, but I tried not to discuss it.
the problem is that i don’t know who to report this to, or who would be able to stop the actual person who is the real problem… after people who were originally well meaning are “lured” into being interested in snl, 30 rock, nbc, etc… etc…
