Mirics, a maker of chips for mobile TV/radio reception raises $10M
Mirics, a Fleet, UK developer of radio-frequency chips for receiving TV and radio broadcasts on mobile phones and other devices, has raised $10 million in a second round of financing.
Intel Capital led the round, and existing backer Pond Venture Partners participated, according to multiple reports (see ZDNet, for example).
The company has raised a total of $13 million.
Mirics chips can handle multiple broadcast frequencies, and confirms to sundry global formats.
