Well people are not that guillable to trust their personal medical information to google or other ISP's for that matter- now even AOL is launching its AOL body.

There a million of those free personal health record applications including one that was launched by american medical association
http://www.myphr.com/
http://www.ihealthrecord.org
revolution health etc etc etc etc etc

Nothing revolutionary about these simple applications.

The question is usage and privacy for the people storing storing data.

This is an excellent effort from Google. They have been pretty vocal in this domain and are finally bringing these services to bear.

However the privacy issue is still unknown. Also how would they monetize this type of service. Let's face it, building and running such a service will be pretty expensive. Check out my post on this topic.

Big market... Big Bucks... and with all your documents online so any government agency can look at them without your permission (and stop Google et al from revealing that they peaked) - well that's just priceless.

The $4 trillion dollar question is all going to revolve around privacy.

What's their plan?
