ChooseRenewables, a Grand Rapids, Mich. start-up, is the latest company seeking to help people reduce their carbon footprint, and is raising cash.

VentureWire (subscription required) reported the company is looking to raise between $3 and $6 million.

The site, which launched in June, is a copycat of other companies already doing the same thing (see our coverage of companies like Terrapass, MakeMeSustainable and BeGreen). It has predictable things like a renewable-energy calculator for people to estimate energy usage if they were to use solar power, for example.
