I think the web is now empowering us (via networking sites such as TuDiabetes.com, or facilities like the Diabetes Search Engine) to better treat and take care of ourselves with guidance from our healthcare team. If this is done right, I see it as a win-win situation. The healthcare team checks the approach being used and maybe learns from it.
