I know that most of you are responsible dog owners or enthusiasts but have you taken a look at your dog's kennel recently. Most are ignored and in pretty poor shape. What's your dogs home like?

Awwww "rivalry"? Really Matt? There are literally dozens of independent pet community sites, if you want to dig deeper. I can think of 7 others that have started this year alone that. (worldwidefido.com, vivapets.com, www.funepets.com, www.petbrags.com, www.wouf.fr, www.wagspace.com, http://www.dogtime.com)

In the end we expect there to be at least five major pet community presences online. In their heydays AOL, Yahoo, MSN, Excite and the pet dotcoms all serviced huge pet-related markets, just in the U.S. alone. Worldwide there could be a dozen major properties.

So we spend our time focusing on how we can make the vibrant community experience we've created that much more meaningful to that many more people. Check out our Answers Local Listings and Adoption Center areas to see what we're doing. It's hard work, but makes for a very happy customer base.
