Utilizing live video chat features adds a dimension to the chat experience which has up until recently not been seen.

Traditional online dating has been one-dimensional only, which sometimes makes it difficult to convey an accurate feeling along with the conversation. Allowing users to view their dates live, moves the date from one dimension to 3 by adding tone, inflection, and body language to the overall impression.

Internet marketing in general is rapidly moving to the video enhanced approach and I feel certain we will see many more good things to come in the online dating world with this added technology.

I’ve played a couple WooMe sessions and definitely agree it could be big. It was pretty fun to talk to different people live. That flake meter is key since i experiences a couple no-shows in the sessions i played…

good to see woome finally launch after so much hype following techcrunch40. i signed up today, looked around and really liked the simplicity: personal profile, people and sessions. session concept is an interesting one, with “chat room” style themes and topics allowing people to find like minded users before actually meeting them in session. if the user adoption is there and people are really interested in meeting people ( not anonymous chatting like other dating sites) these guys are well positioned to own the “introductions” category.

Think this could be very big if WooMe can get that elusive “critical mass” of initial users. Just checked out the site ready to play a session, but sessions only in evening (I assume to consolidate users in early days). Singed up for a session tonight so will see first hand.
