“Another explanation for why Google’s click-throughs are flat — The explanation: Because Google reduced the clickable area on its ads” — What about the idea that the economy is heading into recession? And that is causing people to be more cautious about what they spend. Thus, click-throughs are flat. I would expect them to fall in the bottom half of 2008 as the economy (read: Consumer spending) falls more.
