MG,

Though I think that a multitouch laptop is a great device, you still run into many of the same constraints that you do with laptops today. Battery length, screen size, limited space.

I believe a better solution would be a wearable computer. Apple also had a recent patent on a head mounted display (HMD). Though that often brings ideas of the borg to mind, if done properly, I believe it can create a society where augmented reality is accepted and encouraged.

Just going off into my future world... Let's see what Steve decides to do next with his company.

A deal maker for a multitouch would an algorithm that designs the keyboard according to the position of your fingers coupled with a dictionary (better than the one of the iPhone – maybe with grammar tips). It could be even better than the physical one.

Btw, the price of a multitouch device as the MacBook touch would not be to expensive for a release this year?
