The Twitter song

It’s Friday. I’m already sick of the “Talk Like a Pirate Day” stuff. I think we’re all due for a musical interlude. Today’s entertainment comes from Ben Walker. He’s written a song called “You’re No One If You’re Not On Twitter.”

For some background on the song, Walker writes on his blog:

I was lurking at the London Social Media Café (aka. the Tuttle Club) about a month ago, determined to write three songs in a day to catch up on my 50 Songs in 90 Days Challenge. Somebody (almost certainly @solobasssteve) suggested I write a song about Twitter, because all the SMC types are Twitterholics, and talk endlessly about how maahvellous Twitter is.

Those readers who still don’t understand the point of Twitter despite its increasingly mainstream success and usefulness — or flat out hate it — probably won’t like this too much. But I have to say, the song speaks to me in a way that probably is unhealthy.

It already has nearly 200,000 views on YouTube, which is probably because it was featured on the main page, as Valleywag notes. Enjoy.

You can find me on Twitter here along with fellow VentureBeat writers Eric Eldon, Dean Takahashi, Anthony Ha, Chris Morrison and Dan Kaplan. Oh, and we have a VentureBeat account (for our posts) as well.

There is nothing that touches these for just lazing around at home. Bar sleeping I don’t take mine off now that its getting colder, they are not quite as stiff as they were when they first arrived but still extremely comfortable. It would be nice if they had a little more arch support but other than that I’m very pleased. I am finding a nice ugg boots on sale!
