T-Mobile G1 Android site goes live, join us tomorrow for coverage

Ladies and gentleman, we have a logo. The site for the G1, the name of the first Google Android phone running on T-Mobile has just gone live. There’s not much on the site yet but apparently you can go to it to see a live feed of the press conference tomorrow at 10:30 AM EST (7:30 AM PST) or see an on-demand version of it following the event.

Though the announcement is tomorrow, the G1 phone itself isn’t expected to be launched until mid October. October 17 is the latest date we’ve been hearing.

We plan on following the event live and piping in information and having conversation about it in a FriendFeed room we’ve set up.

Clicking on most areas of the site causes a box to pop up saying to check back for more information after the announcement. But we do get the G1 logo — which looks kind of like the logo for my shaving cream.
