Utopy takes $7.5M for speech analytics

San Francisco, Calif.-based Utopy makes a software package called SpeechMiner, which allows companies to analyze customer audio to discover market trends and behavior.
The software works mostly with recordings from customer service interactions. Aside from a market in North America, Utopy also has operations in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
The $7.5 million funding was provided by Bay Ventures and Pras Holdings.
