Riverside Partners merges solar service companies Solar Works, SolarWrights
The Northeast has a new solar energy integrator, the type of company that designs, installs and operates solar systems, with the merger of Solar Works and SolarWrights by private equity firm Riverside Partners.
Riverside didn’t previously own the two companies, but instead simultaneously acquired and combined them into a single entity with 110 employees which will work on cornering the New England market. Terms of the acquisitions weren’t disclosed.
Outside of California, the Northeast is probably the most active area for solar installation companies in the United States. Also in the region is Beltsville, Maryland’s SunEdison, which recently raised $161 million .
SolarWrights also owns WindWrights, which installs wind turbines for customers.
