We’re looking for full-time writers, as well as a part-time intern (15-30 hours/wk) to research and write about tech companies, interview venture capitalists, and manage other editorial and Web site tasks in the process. At VentureBeat, you will have deep access to the tech ecosystem, ranging from company founders to investors. You’ll be helping provide news content that is as critical as ever for decision-makers responding to the economic downturn.
You will work with some of the sharpest reporters and writers in the tech blogosphere and have the opportunity to expand your knowledge across many sectors, including digital media, gaming, mobile, cleantech and enterprise 2.0.
The full-time writer positions will cover digital media and general technology innovation.
The intern position is mostly focused on research, supporting our writers and writing short pieces about fundings, but there will also be opportunities to write your own larger posts on subjects of your choice.
Intern responsibilities will include:
- Managing and distributing incoming story tips
- Writing short posts about fundings
- Contributing reporting on larger stories
- Helping with event coordination and execution
- Some data entry
- Copy editing
