DEMO coming to Washington and New York

As part of our effort to find the most exciting companies and products to launch at the DEMOfall conference in September, Chris Shipley and I are going to be making several trips around the country meeting with local entrepreneurs and other interested professionals.

Next week, I’ll be in Washington and available to meet with companies on Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29 from our local office in DC. If you’d like to meet with us, please send in an application and send me an email, and we’ll contact you to set up a time for a meeting. Or you can catch me in the hallways at Capital Connections, the annual conference hosted by the Mid Atlantic Venture Association, where I’ll be speaking on Wednesday.

I’ll be in New York the following week, and available for meetings on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2. Again, please send in an app and drop me an email, and I’ll find a time to meet with you. Or catch me on Wednesday, when I’ll be judging the start-up competition at the NYU-Silicon Alley Insider conference Startup 2009.

We’re seeking only the best ideas. We see thousands of companies each year, but only a few will make it to the stage. We’ve found an easier way to include earlier-stage companies. Now, through Alpha Pitch, they can experience a world-class launch in front of scores of the top media and industry leaders.

Separately, we’ll be holding DEMO days in San Francisco. Chris and I will hold open June 15 and June 18 to meet with candidates for the fall conference. Again, fill out an application, and we’ll get in touch to set a time.
