Eric, nice post.

Zynga is a hot company I feel like we're all going to be paying more attention to going forward.

Anyway, just to correct the characterization of my post as rumormongering and all that: It only reports facts, and those are:

1. That a source of mine who interviewed at the company believes it *could* IPO in the next 18 months. This was the source's way of saying that Zynga is kicking ass.
2. That a source who would know says estimates of Zynga's revenues at $100 mm are “conservative.”
3. That there is a source who isn't quite as enthusiastic about Zynga and has reasons for that skepticism.

Zynga great. But until Pincus hires a CEO an IPO is sooo not in the cards. Can you imagine Mr Pincus as a public company CEO. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Zynga is extremely profitable already, but maybe not in the future (as competition grows). Do they really need extra money for investments? AFAIK, their facebook games don't cost more than ~10000 to build.
