DEMO / VentureBeat meetup tonight in Palo Alto

Matt Marshall and his co-executive producer for the DEMO conference, Chris Shipley, will be in Palo Alto tonight at Nola restaurant, 535 Ramona Street @ Univeristy Ave, beginning at 6pm. Several of the VentureBeat writing staff will be there, too. The first 40 people through the door get a free drink ticket.
Matt’s post from Friday has more on DEMO:
Chris and I are searching all over for the best technology companies and products to showcase at DEMOfall 09, the upcoming conference in September. Palo Alto is just the latest stop in our effort to connect with local entrepreneurs. We’ve done SF, Washington and New York, and soon are headed to Seattle (signup), Los Angeles, Boston (signup) and Austin.
Silicon Valley is home for us: The entire VentureBeat team is based here, and most of us will be there Monday. Nola has long been one of my favorite bars — one of the early few that stayed open late in (what used to be) sleepy Palo Alto. It’s also got a fun three-floor dining atmosphere: If you eat, try the tasty Creole and Cajun food, especially the seafood jambalaya.
Chris and I are looking for entrepreneurs with products promising significant impact on the business landscape. Specifically, we’re searching for those with 1) products that are ready for a full global market launch, and 2) products in their alpha prototypes or beta stages and looking for market validation.
Chris and I have reserved specific days for meeting with entrepreneurs in various places. We’re taking meetings in San Francisco on June 18, Seattle on June 23, LA on June 25, Boston on June 30 and Austin on July 2. Just fill out a form (pick either launchpitch), and drop me a note that you’d like to meet on one of those days. or
