DEMO labs: Come see the latest cool stuff from Numenta

DEMO

numentaAnother new feature we’re introducing this year at the DEMOfall conference in San Diego is a peek at some technologies that may not be here quite yet, but which will bang us over the head in the near future.

These products won’t be fully ready for market launch. However, they will reveal where exciting core technology developments are taking us. I call it the “DEMO labs” part of our program. It’s a way for the DEMO audience to see yet another phase of emerging technology — and it’s relevant for business decisions, because these technologies are coming soon.

The first DEMO lab company we’re announcing is Numenta, a Silicon Valley (Redwood City, Calif.) company focused on developing intelligent computing. Co-founder Donna Dubinsky (previously chief executive of Palm and co-founder of Handspring) will show us what is coming in image pattern recognition technology. She’ll give a brief demonstration and then join in a panel discussion.

It’s one of the first areas of development for Numenta, a company founded three years ago by Dubinksy along with Jeff Hawkins, author of the popular book On Intelligence, and Dileep George. Come learn the latest about their “platform for intelligent computing.” It’s going to be fun.

See who else is coming here and here.
