Maybe we should have a promotional contest where fans draw more awesome pictures of the Bitmob staff.

News Blips:

• Sega and Wizard have picked their top entries for the “Bayonetta Re-envisioned” competition. You can go gawk at fan-drawn pictures of the heroine and vote for your favorite. Nothing says good publicity more than getting a bunch of guys (and a couple gals) to draw sexy pictures of a video game character, huh? [WizardUniverse]

• Sony announces the launch of consumer-level 3D televisions for the end of 2010. Sony says the 3D technology in these new sets should be compatible with PS3 games and Blu-ray discs. This really isn’t news, though, considering that we were playing Rad Racer in 3D at home back in 1987. [FinancialTimes]

• Twin Galaxies recently posted the first records and rankings list for Wii Sports: Resort. The high scores cover all of the events in the game. Beating some of these seems a bit daunting, but if you believe in yourself, like Steve Wiebe did, we’re sure you can have Billy Mitchell steal your glory, too. [TwinGalaxies]

• Indie hit Spelunky is set for Xbox Live Arcade in 2010. It’s scheduled to have new graphics, audio, and other features. Now all of you who are too lazy to download the free PC version can get frustrated with this addictive game on XBLA. [SpelunkyWorld]
