I'm the co-founder of a shared office space called Sunshine Suites. While Sunshine is a shared office space like Regus - that is where the similarities end. We actively help the people in our space get business from each other, host a bunch of great events (pool parties, softball team, networking and educational events, etc.) all for the low cost of $275/month/person, with everything included (conference room, copy/printing, fax, internet, month-to-month). Please check us out if your looking for New York Office Space - www.sunshineny.com, "where start-ups grow up".
  • Regus is very practical and convenient if you want to expand in other geographies, but it is not a low-budget solution. It is low-budget if your business is not successful in the new geography as closing down costs less.

regus is a scam. i have had a virtual office with them for about 11 months and have had imposssible troubles with their billing. first they don't debit my card for monthly rent when they already have permission, and then go ahead and slam me with 'late fees'.. twice. then they charge me almost $1000 for no reason, and when you call them there is no explanation. its been 2 months now and they wont reverse the charge. they admitted it was a mistake on the very first call, but still don't fix it. everytime its some new excuse. its ridiculous. and wait, the mail they are supposed to forward to me, never shows up. it just keeps getting lost.. apparently the usps people are idiots and don't know how to deliver (their explanation). run away from these thugs.
