• Unhappy Former Regus Customer
Be careful of their 'Business Continuity Services'. What it means is that you have to pay for 3 months of virtual office space after your leave your real office space... These services are basically 'mail forwarding' which the post office does free anyway. They do not describe these services anywhere in the contract or even online. They send you an email about it when you are ready to leave. There is no way to get out of it because they will have your down payment as backup. We had to pay but I promised I would let others know about this dishonesty.

Regus is actually a very expensive shared office solution. A much less expensive option, and one that focuses exclusively on 1-10 person companies, is Sunshine Suites (www.sunshineny.com). Sunshine is the leading new york city office space provider for small businesses and entrepreneurs, providing internet, fax, receptionist, copier, printing, and month-to-month terms starting at only $275/month. I'm the co-founder and managing partner, and can tell you first hand that the office is beautiful, and that we actively promote networking and working with each other (Gary Vaynerchuk giving a speech tonight, Bowling team tomorrow night, Classic Car club meet & greet Thursday to give you an idea of our events this week). Please take a look. Sunshine Suites - Where Start-Ups Grow Up.
  • Agree with the earlier commenter. I am also an unhappy former customer. I signed a credit card charge release and found out only when I tried to cancel that the release included terms and obligations that had never been discussed prior to my signing up. The staff at the office that I used was also poorly trained and adversarial prior to the problems I had with canceling. Regus has a good idea, but has blown it by choosing to cheat their customers. My blessings to the class action lawyers who go after this company and its shady practices.

They're rediculously expensive and costs add up quick. They also force you into their solutions, be it Cisco VoIP, a weak internet connection, etc.. A better suggestion is to use a virtual receptionist in combination with a po box or sublet/share an office with another individual and use it primarly for the address. The only bennefit is the 'month to month' cost of their office spaces.
