After the influx of news yesterday around Apple’s newly launched iPad, it’s not surprising that companies are beginning to announce their own iPad related news. Mobile analytics firm, Motally today announced that it will be expanding its current tracking services for mobile web and apps to include those running on the iPad.
Motally’s platform lets publishers collect data and create analytic reports on usage of their mobile websites or applications. The extension to Apple’s iPad will allow users to continue getting user data (including engagement times), display content and search results. Currently, Motally’s analytics will work automatically for iPhone apps accessed on the iPad, and the company has plans to support the iPad SDK (software development kit) once it’s available. Developers looking to begin building iPad apps can use the iPhone SDK 3.2 beta.
Motally is based in San Francisco, California and handles mobile sites for customers like Yelp and Fandango.
