Wattpad lands popular titles on Sony's Reader store

Popular e-book community Wattpad announced today an agreement with Sony Electronics to make several of its top unique titles available on Sony’s Reader store.

Wattpad is a community-driven platform where users upload and share all content. For writers, Wattpad is especially enticing as it allows for them to easily share their writings and gain feedback and suggestions. The company recently announced an undisclosed amount of angel funding from various private investors to continue growth and enhance mobile capabilities. In addition, the mobile Wattpad application will be available on Apple’s iPad.

It appears available titles are those most popular with the Wattpad community, including award winners, those that have been read over 1,000,000 times and top picks from Wattpad’s library. Several available titles include, “Dinner with a vampire. Did I mention I’m vegetarian?” by Canse12, “Destined To Happen” by lovemehunni and “Bye Bye Virginity” by Just-Krissy.

According to a company announcement, Wattpad will provide more titles to the Reader Store in the coming months. Wattpad titles are available for free.
