DEMO-VentureBeat meetup in Boston Monday: Pitch your company!

Come join us at a meetup at Felt in downtown Boston Monday for drinks, and to hear some pitches from cool technology companies.

I’m bringing VentureBeat and DEMO to town, as part of tour of the country to find entrepreneurs with the most disruptive technologies (guys like Joshua Kerr, left, who took a baseball bat to a fax machine at the DEMO in Palm Springs last month, to demonstrate how his new smartphone application has replaced faxes). We’ll invite them to launch later this year at the DEMO conference in Silicon Valley.

Dan Primack, editor of PEHub, has agreed to co-host this meetup with us. We’re buying drinks for the first 40 people who show up.

Come by if you’re an investor, an entrepreneur, or anyone else interested in innovation, and you want to connect with other folks in the community. We’ll go from 6-8pm. Register here.

We’re also inviting up to six companies to give three-minute pitches about their current product plans. If you’re an entrepreneur and interested in pitching, sign up here, and we’ll let you know by the end of the day tomorrow (Friday) whether you’ve been selected.  You’ll get to pitch the audience of investors, entrepreneurs, DEMO alumni and other professionals in attendance.

With DEMO Spring only a week behind us, we’re already actively considering applications as we build the class of demonstrators for DEMO Fall. Apply to launch here. Registration is open, too, for attendees. We’re offering a bargain price of only $975 (about a third of the regular price) for people signing up by April 15.
