Teranetics raises $7.8 million for 10-gigabit Ethernet chips

Teranetics, a mixed-signal integrated circuits company, has raised $7.8 million of an expected $10 million in equity, according to a filing with the SEC. Based in Santa Clara, Calif., the company is backed by U.S. Venture Partners, Venrock Associates, Columbia Capital, Granite Global Ventures and Global Catalyst Partners. The maker of chips for the 10-gigabit Ethernet copper channel market previously received $45 million from the same backers.
