SiliconBlue lands $15 million for logic chips

SiliconBlue Technologies, maker of programmable logic chips for mobile devices, has raised $15 million in a third round of funding, according to a filing with the SEC. The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company specializes in field-programmable gate array (FPGA) chips, which can be used in mobile phones, netbooks and eReaders. SiliconBlue spun out from Kilopass Technologies, a semiconductor company, in 2006, and backers include New Enterprise Associates, BlueRun Ventures and Crosslink Capital.
