Mission Motors races ahead with $3.4M for electric motorcycles

Mission Motors, maker of high-performance electric motorcycles, has raised $3.4 million of an expected $4.7 million in equity, according to a filing with the SEC. With bikes that cost more than $68,000–and can reach speeds of 150 miles per hour–the San Francisco company is often compared to electric sports car maker Tesla Motors. Mission Motors, formerly known as Hum Cycles, plans to deliver 50 of its Mission One electric sportbikes this year.
