They did, for months, and allowed users to register for a chance to be a beta tester. I was one, and was initially quite pleased with the redesign. Unfortunately, once the Digg community at large joined, the true foundational faults became starkly clear.

I was a 5+ year digger that was forced to abandon them and turn to Reddit and Slashdot because the redesign was intolerable. Its a shame to see such a great property turned into such a clusterf**q, by poor decision making and design ineptitude. Its apparent now why all the talent was fleeing this sinking ship. Such a shame.

I don't know what they are thinking over at Digg. Honestly, I still like Digg a lot better but they are pooping the boudeiare these day switch this new crappy design. They need to switch back stat and just admit to a failed experiment.

I really like reddit alot more than digg now. I just wish they made the site look nicer, especially the comment section. If they do that, I will not return to digg, even if they change it back to the old loved digg.
