Imagine H2O and VLAB present Blue Tech: Is Water's Dry Spell Over?

Current water technologies are not effectively delivering what the world needs: more water, cleaner water, at lower cost and with less energy usage.

An increasing number of regions need more usable water. The world’s population tripled in the last century, while water use grew six fold. With population expected to grow another 25% by 2020 and demand for water continuing to out-pace it, a rare and explosive opportunity has been created.

Entrepreneurs with new, effective technologies are poised to disrupt the status quo to help provide relief from the growing crisis. What and where are the biggest opportunities in water? What can greentech entrepreneurs learn from water startups? Can information technology play a role? All of those questions will be explored at Blue Tech: Is Water’s Dry Spell Over, a one-evening event organized by the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab and Imagine H2O, two non-profits.

The event takes place October 19 at the Arbuckle Lounge and Bishop Auditorium at Stanford Business School. It will feature an exciting panel on the evening of October 19 at Stanford, moderated by Harvard ALI Senior Fellow and author Susan Leal and featuring panelists from APTwater, Oasys, Siemens, and PureSense.

Lessons shared at the event can help others facing similar large-scale challenges in areas such as energy.

Join us for a fresh look at water, the next big focus in cleantech.
