Started by a husband and wife team, Welocalize’s linguists serve global companies including IBM, Microsoft and Autodesk.

Better Advertising Project raises $9.5M for transparent web ads — The company helps brands like AT&T comply with industry guidelines for behavioral advertising, peHUB reports. Lead investor Warburg Pincus, the backer of finance startup Yodlee, incubated Better Advertising in 2009.

Stoke gets $16M in equity to clear the airwaves for mobile operators — The company reroutes mobile data traffic to the internet, according to an SEC filing. Stoke has raised more than $85 million to date from investors like Sequoia, DAG and Kleiner Perkins to save carriers from building new infrastructure and improve service for subscribers.
