Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani's somewhat rambling GDC 2011 talk (entitled "How to create a good game — from my experience of designing Pac-Man") covered some surprising ground: Apparently he thought the whole eating-stuff aspect of Pac-Man would really ratchet up the game's appeal to women.
