Ingenious Super Mario Bros. question mark block lamps

I'm always in the market for groovy lamps. They don't last long in my house, what with pets and flying Wii remotes.

These Super Mario Bros. question mark block lamps can take a beating, though, since you turn them on the same way Mario gets coins: by punching them! Note: punching lamps is rarely a good idea….

You can order them from 8BitLit's Esty store for a whopping $74.99. You can buy a completed lamp or an unassembled set. Buying a do-it-yourself unit is $20 cheaper but requires you to wire all those fiddly lamp components.

I think the styling is very nice and am tempted to replace my long-suffering desk lamp with one of these.
