Indie Remix: Fez edition

This post has been edited by the GamesBeat staff. Opinions by GamesBeat community writers do not necessarily reflect those of the staff.

To celebrate the launch of the darling indie-platformer Fez for Xbox Live Arcade, I decided to do another music remix. This time, I took a small, two-bar phrase from a recent trailer and flipped it into a short beat.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but the more I listen to the original sounds, the more they remind of the classic SNES cult-favorite Earthbound. For that reason, I’m looking forward to playing through Fez and hearing the rest of the soundtrack (it doesn’t hurt that the XBLA game is a hit among critics). Plus, if I am to believe the people I follow on Twitter, the music is supposed to be pretty top notch stuff…like soundtrack-of-the-year caliber.

Thanks for listening and feel free to give any feedback you want in the comments.
