Join us for a discussion of digital publishing and the end of the print era

At VentureBeat, we’re always on the lookout for new ideas that will disrupt business as usual. It’s in our DNA, really: Disruptive innovation is what we’re all about.

That’s why I’m excited to announce that we’re co-hosting an event series this year with San Francisco’s Commonwealth Club, focused on disruption in business and technology. The Commonwealth Club has been hosting insightful and erudite discussions for years, and has a great track record for bringing interesting and important people to the table.

Our first cosponsored event, coming up May 10, is “Digital Publishing: The End of Print?” It will feature Mark Johnson, CEO of Zite, Laney Whitcanack, Chief Community Officer, Federated Media, and Chris Taylor, Deputy Editor, Mashable, and will be moderated by Peter Ha, Managing Editor, TechCrunch.

Want to go? Tickets are normally $20, but you can get a discounted rate of $12 by following the instructions here:

  • Visit the event page, http://bit.ly/digpubINFORUM
  • Select the number of tickets desired at the bottom of the event page, select Add to Basket and proceed to check-out
  • At the check-out page there will be an opportunity to enter the coupon code: vbfordigital
