The Megas’ new album makes Mega Man 3 rock

Have you heard of The Megas? Their first CD, 2008's Get Equipped, featured the band playing new renditions of songs from Mega Man 2, the classic sidescroller for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Now, a lot of tribute bands play Mega Man songs, but The Megas kick things up a notch by adding original lyrics to the catchy tunes.

As a gigantic fan of the Blue Bomber, I think that these guys are the best thing to happen in my life since I learned how to tie my shoes, and now they've just released their second album, History Repeating: Blue. This new CD is the first of a double album (History Repeating: Red will come out later this year) and features songs inspired by Mega Man 3. It's great! At least two times better than tying my own shoes!

You can listen to every track and opt to buy the whole thing at The Mega's Band Camp page.
