Obama and Romney duke it out in new iOS game from Infinity Blade developer

Epic Games and Chair Entertainment, the developers behind popular iOS action role-player Infinity Blade, are stepping into the realm of political satire for their latest game — a cartoony brawler featuring President Barack Obama and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

VOTE!!! The Game officially launches tomorrow as a free download from the Apple App Store. Players can choose to dress their favorite candidate in a variety of wacky outfits and equip them with weapons like oversized microphones, balloon swords, and novelty foam fingers before going at it. Players can unlock score boosters as they battle for votes, which are then awarded to the candidate of the player’s choice as results are tracked in real time.

Epic Games and Chair Entertainment have also partnered with Rock the Vote, Video Game Voters Network, and Project Vote Smart to raise awareness about voter registration, the candidates and their issues, and the election process. The partnership will provide easy-to-access real-world voter information and resources, including an in-game voter registration form. A portion of the proceeds will go to Rock the Vote to support their efforts encouraging voter registration among young voters.

“VOTE!!! is everything a great game should be — challenging, rewarding, super-fun — and players will find themselves laughing the entire time,” said Chair Entertainment creative director Donald Mustard. “We’re excited to join forces with Rock the Vote to help emphasize the importance of voter registration and encourage gamers to become more involved in the political process.”

VOTE!!! The Game is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 3 (16GB+), iPod touch 4, iPad, iPad 2, and the new iPad.
